EVEREST SKYDIVE

Everest Skydive surpasses any experience or adventure in skydiving so far.  Since 1991, the skydiving and BASE jumping communities have landed on the North and South Poles and BASE jumped at Angel Falls, Venezuela.  All fabulous and awe inspiring adventures in their own right, they were the historic building blocks for this new and exciting challenge.

Everest Skydive pushes the boundaries harder and higher by challenging the diverse ability to handle two harsh and extreme environments – high altitude at 29,500ft plus extreme cold.

The trip is scheduled for late September / early October in Nepal.  These dates were selected to avoid the 200mph jet stream that typically roars across Everest’s summit.  Skydivers will jump from 29,500ft and land at the highest drop zone (DZ) in the world at 12,350ft.

Combine the visual impact of looking onto the summit of Mt. Everest and some of the other highest mountains in the world and freefalling past them, this adventure is a feast stimulating all senses to the point of near overload.

Everest Skydive requires the knowledge and skills of an unusual group of skydivers, some of who are also Everest mountaineers.  By drawing on detailed knowledge of the geographical area of Mt. Everest, the surrounding Sherpa lands, and skills learned in both disciplines, the adventure has been brought to fruition after two years of meticulous planning and preparation by High & Wild Limited.

Twenty four skydivers from across the globe, including the world’s highest tandem skydive will assemble for this historical event.  Skydive Everest will be filmed by Leo Dickinson for worldwide distribution.
