entrepreneurial spirit. In the summer of 2005, Carrie made her first tandem skydive. The last two seasons she has participated on a rookie 4-way RW team, has earned a C license with coaches rating, and completed her first BASE jumps in October 2007. She now embarks on the first ever skydive in front of Mount Everest with High & Wild Limited. Through the Everest Skydive adventure, Carrie is founding Positive Liberty, a non-profit organization supporting women through grants or sponsorship to achieve a lifetime goal that otherwise might not be financially possible.
As a young athlete Carrie began participating in youth cross country and track & field. By 14, she held the local record for the 3000m, placed nationally in the 1500m, was part of a national cross country team, and won both the 1500m and 3000m events for her age group at the Goodwill Games. In 1995, she represented the U.S. in an international frienship track & field competition in Japan.
Professionally, Carrie began working in commercial real estate shortly after college with Mammoth Mountain Ski Area in mixed-use village development. Moving back to the Seattle area in 2002, she worked for a local developer through March 2007, before founding Axis Planning & Development, a project management services company for commercial real estate development projects.
Carrie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a double major in management and decision science (statistics) from Washington State University. While attending college she was the President of Alpha Chi Omega sorority and earned her private pilot license. Carrie holds a certificate in Commercial Real Estate from the University of Washington. She is currently a Co-Chair for the Urban Land Institute Young Leader Group of Seattle, a Young Executive through Bellevue Chamber of Commerce, on the Board for Mercer Island Youth & Family Services, and President of Seattle Skydivers, the oldest standing skydiving club in the nation.
